State of the Industry Barometer

In the first quarter of 2024, the feaco State of the Industry Barometer saw adownturn, decreasing by 3.5 points from 36.2 to 32.7.

The beginning of 2024 marked a general decline in sentiment across all countries except for Greece. France experienced the most significant drop, emerging as the sole country with a negative index value, primarily due to a rather pessimistic assessment of the future business outlook. Despite a decrease in sentiment, Spain‘s index value remains notably higher than the European average. Italy and Germany observed minor declines as well. Notably, Greece recorded the highest overall index value.
