Alfred Harl, President of the European Federation of Management Consultancies Associations (FEACO), congratulates Ezio Lattanzio and Matthias Loebich to be Honorary President of FEACO since turn of the year 2025.

In addition, Borut Potocnik, Vice President of FEACO was also appointed to the Executive Committee. FEACO has been in existence since the 1960s and today has 15 member associations. Ezio Lattanzio from Italy was President 2012-2018, Matthias Loebich from Germany 2021-2024.

FEACO President Alfred Harl comments: "Congratulation Ezio and Matthias, you have earned it to be Honorary President! Since the beginning FEACO represents the interests of the industry in Europe and pursues the realisation of common goals. Today more than ever Europe must take the lead in artificial intelligence, innovation, education and the environment! We speak with one voice to the market".

"European Management Consultancy" survey for 2023/2024

Consultancy is today and, in the future, more than ever the first interface between companies, businesses, governments and societies. But we must make even more of an effort. This is also shown by the results of the annual "European Management Consultancy" survey for 2023/2024, based on the data from 11 countries included in the FEACO European panel plus Ukraine.

After a record growth of +16.1% in 2022, the Management Consulting industry in Europe is slowing down its growth: +10.2% in 2023 and an expected +7% in 2024. Such a softening of the market dynamics is shared among almost all countries in the EU feaco panel, highlighting that the fast post pandemic phase might have ended and that a new one is starting.

Harl: “Ongoing political and economic changes across Europe”

The growth in the employment of management consultants is also slowing. After a +8.3% peak in 2022, the growth rate went down to 5.4% in 2023. The expectation for 2024 is a rather flat employment (+1.1%), much lower than the turnover growth.

Harl concludes: "The challenge of the digital transformation and the green transition, together with the uncertainties in the international scenario, are fostering companies’ requests for consulting support especially in the areas of Sales & Marketing and Technology. Ongoing political and economic changes across Europe and the growing impact of Generative AI, are making future outlooks, at the same time more difficult and more important."
