European Management Consulting Market 2010 shows increase in revenues
The 2010-2011 FEACO survey of the European management consulting market conducted in collaboration with the national management consulting associations in Europe shows that the size of the consulting market increased from 83,7 billion € in 2009 to 86,2 billion € in 2010, which means an increase of 2.9%, which was higher than the forecasted 1.6%.
Business Consulting services remains the largest segment at 50% with an impressive increase of 7% followed by Development and Integration at 19%, and IT Consulting at 15%, both slightly higher than 2009. Outsourcing, at 12%, shows a 7% decline from the previous year. In 2010 Banking and Insurance was the dominant client sector in most countries, followed by Industry and the Public Sector.
Germany remains the largest consulting market in Europe followed by the United Kingdom, Spain and France. This country ranking has remained stable over the last few years as have annual increases in market size in these leading consulting markets.
For 2011 the forecast for the European consulting market is positive, with an increase by 3.3% to an estimated value of 89 billion euro.
